Why We Built This Site
Texas permits broad access to many court dockets, yet custody is the hard part. Cherokee County's District Clerk keeps district civil, criminal, juvenile, and family files. The County Clerk keeps non-family County Court at Law records and several other county-level case types. Justice and municipal clerks hold their own dockets. re:SearchTX adds a statewide search layer, while court-specific folders publish some settings. We bring those official routes, phone numbers, and request steps together without claiming to replace the court record.
What You Will Find Here
- Local docket routes: how criminal court dockets and civil court dockets are located in Cherokee County
- Settings: how to read the court schedule and verify a hearing date
- Search methods: how to run a docket search by name, number, court, or hearing
- Copies: how court case records and certified documents are requested
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site with no connection to a Texas court, clerk, or government agency. Those limits are important:
- We cannot pull an official docket sheet or case file for anyone
- We cannot change, reschedule, or reset a court date or hearing setting
- We cannot remove, seal, or amend a case on any docket
- We cannot issue certified copies of any docket, order, or court document
- We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific case applies to you
- We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, or setting listed on this site is current right now
An official or certified docket sheet must come from the clerk or court that maintains it. This resource can identify that office, but it cannot issue the document.
Search Partners
Third-party providers power search boxes on some pages. They control their services, results, and prices. A paid signup reached through one of those tools may produce a referral fee that supports this free resource. We do not set the provider's charges or determine which records it returns.
